The long wait is almost over, finally got to see the the new baby and I'll pick her up next Wednesday.

After the viewing I went to the dealers to pay up! Whilst there I also mentioned to the Sales Manager that I'd like the DRL's turned off. The answer was pretty straighforward "That's no problem Sir it will be done when you pick it up". I'll let everyone know if this turns out to be the case but if so, full marks to White Rose Petersfield.

Also, i see it's got the 2010 steering wheel - but can't quite tell from the pics whether it has the chrome exhaust?

Order placed wk 22 (I think, end of May anyway). Build week was wk 28 although the car got from Portugal to Germany to the channel port so fast that I think it must have been built early in week 27.

No chrome exhaust despite the configurator saying it should have, also the old style aircon which surprised me. I've seen pics on here from at least a couple of weeks back of Rockies with the new style dual air and assumed mine would arrive this way too. Not disapointed though as I think I prefer the old style. Looks less like a 30 year old AM radio!

If no one has already said it, welcome to the group. The weeks of waiting actualy went by pretty fast but I have a feeling that the last few days are going to be hell!

I must say White Rose in Petersfield seem like a good dealer to me, I nearly bought a 2nd hand A3 from them recently (from the used car showroom in Stroud) - they seemed very friendly/helpful.

Yeah I've dealt with them a few times and have a good relationship with Tony Luff, salesman at Petersfield. Good honest guy who doesn't hassle you.

My Biking days are over after I ended up in someone's front garden minus the bike! A looooong time ago.
