Auto lights

Any assistance appreciated
I have a 2015 Scirocco R with bi-xenon lights and DRL set to light the led's below the headlights.
The problem is when the light switch is set to auto the headlights stay on all the time and don't turn off in daylight.
Are the auto lights designed to be like this because I have xenon lights.
They have never worked in auto mode even before I set DRL to led's via VCDS.
If anyone knows the settings to rectify my problem please let me know.
Cheers all
Mike

It's just a vcds setting, you can disable permanent running light via low beam by unchecking byte 11 bit 2 in module 09 central electronics.

Hi roy_01
There are so many different settings for DRL so I will check and see if that setting is selected and test.
A friend did suggest that the setting for assisted driving might be the culprit so will check that also and let you know.
Cheers

No it's this bit. The other setting that you mention is when the drl is on.
There is also a bit in the module that says drl active only with assistence driving light active.
The drl is then only active with light switch on auto and off in zero position.

I have attached a document showing my module 9 settings
please take a look and let me know what you think

Still no joy with getting the auto lights to work.
Found if I try and make any amendments to RLS settings I get error 31.
Using vcds 16.8

Very strange, is your light sensor still ok?
And how is your coming/leaving home functioning, does is also light during the day?

I do think the light sensor is faulty because the sat nav is set to auto for day and night and flips between day and night regardless of what the time of day is. the car is still under warranty so will take a trip to vw.

Just checked all my fuses but can't find anything blown.
Coming home/leaving home lights don't work along with door warning light (the lights at the bottom of the door panels).
Could do with a fuse diagram but the bright boffins at vw decided not to include one in the manuals.
Probably have more luck finding rocking horse shit.
Leaves me with only one option now and take it to a dealer.

Rain/light sensor is on fuse SC13. Do you really have the door panel lights or just the reflectors? This lights are powered by the window modules.
Fuses and diagrams are in my dropbox.

Hi Roy_01
Just been looking through our conversation and realised I hadn't published the fault codes when I thought I had and that's why I was going down the fuse route.
So here's the fault codes that show up please let me know what you think.
Also when I try and make any changes to the sensitivity setting in RLS I get an error 31 returned.
Cheers

Check the fuses and if they are still ok maybe your light switch is damaged.

Fuses checked and all ok.
Removed fuse and lights are on in '0' position and on in 'auto' as expected by design.
Replaced fuse and lights are off in '0' position and on in 'auto'
Coming home and leaving home still not working.
Will definitely need to visit VW and get them to sort it.
The 03252 error on the post above was due to the 'rear spoiler installed' setting being selected.
Cheers

Why do you have selected rear spoiler installed? What byte and bit is that? I don't think that's a right setting.

Byte 10 bit 3.
I have no idea why it was selected, found a link online that suggested the error code was caused by that selection so turned it off and error now gone.
Bought the car second hand from a dealer. Have strong suspicions that the previous owner played around with the settings that's why I'm having so much trouble putting things right.
Getting there slowly, just need to sort the lights.

Ok glad you solved it, on mine its also not checked.
Can you post your bcm long coding of module 09 maybe the light sensor is also not coded correctly.
And post the long coding of the RLS and wischer also. You can select them in the drop down menu after you click on coding in module 09.
