RCD 510 or RNS 510 needed

Post by leongiscombe »

Hi all,

So as I finished work at 4pm I walked to the public car park literally opposite my work to prepare for my hours commute home.. only to find that some absolute oxygen waster had popped my passenger window and stolen my RCD 510! My question to you all is do any of you have a RCD 510 or RNS 510 lying about that you wouldn't mind selling to me please. I've had a look on eBay but I'd rather buy from a fellow roc enthusiast because I know what I'm buying then and not some cheap Chinese imitation. Another question... surely my alarm will have been sounding out so 1.why has nobody witnessed this in broad daylight? (Has my alarm even been ringing, it should work as I once left my brother in car and locked it by mistake to find the alarm going off).. 2. Why was the alarm still not going off when I got to the car? (Again had they triggered the alarm) surely smashing a window would...

Thanks everyone.

Sorry to read this....

Regarding the alarm, when triggered it only sounds for around a minute but the hazard lights keep flashing.

Is it possible when you.locked the car you pushed the lock button on the keyfob twice? This disables the deadlocks and the alarm.

Thanks the reply Cuprabob,

I have a nasty habit where I sometimes think I haven't locked my car and I imagine I have double pressed :( least I now know for future reference. Again thanks for the information I appreciate that.
