Your a lucky men :) Broken bearing of your dynamo then maybe or belt tensioner failing.

1.4 TSI has a cam chain, not a cambelt.

From my understanding only the R and the diesels are belt driven.

I believe this is the newer MQB 125ps variant (i know its not truly MQB but they ported it over to the cars still on the mk6 platform when they ceased production of the old 1.4 TSI)
These all have toothed belts and not timing chains.

The video shows it's definately not the usual CAXA or CAVD/CTHD engine.....as for whats causing the whistling noise - who knows, could be anything!
