Difficult to identify from 'normal' engine sounds. Does the noise disappear when the clutch is depressed?

It seems to be a bit intermittent, only seems to do it while parked up revving up-to 1.5k any slower no noise, any faster disappears into normal engine noise.
These engines are so tickety, its hard to hear over them!
I have a feeling it might be some sort of bearing.
Seems to be coming from, front driver side of the engine bay:

I might change the drive-belt and water-pump cars coming upto 80k and neither have been changed see if its either of them.

Could be the dreaded fuelline rattle. It does run a bit high. 1200rpm idleing with a warmed up engine is high. Mine sits at around 1000rpm after a cold start and settles in at 800rpm after warmup.
