Keyed

Morning All,

I had my car keyed this weekend, starting from the front wheel arch ending at the back wheel arch.
Annoyed would be an understatement!

I gave it a good go with the T-Cut yesterday and it looks a little bit better but there are certain points where it is through to the silver

Does anyone know if ChipsAway are any good to use for this sort of thing?
I'm in the Gloucester area if that helps...

I've used chipsaway previously albeit in Scotland but same franchise and thought they did a good job but everything seems to be standard costs (£75+vat, £250+vat etc). The first time I was quoted the lower value for some light scuffs but I took my wifes car which had more damage and was quoted the higher value. I got a quote from a local coachworks and the costs were significantly less. I would advise getting multiple quotes.

Ah man unlucky! If the scratch disappears when you wet it then it is only in the clear coat and you will be able to get it out with a light sanding (5000 grit) and then t cut and polish to bring back the shine. If it does not disappear and it can catch your finger nail then you will need some colour to go in there!

Had my old GT keyed and sadly you don't have many options. I spoke to a very good detailer who was interested in sanding it etc, but for the price I ended up getting it resprayed...
