ok i'm almost set on Tarox Strada pads for the front and rear after reading reviews. But i'm guessing these wont come up wear indicators. what have other people done with the sensors to stop the lights coming on?

you can just take the plugs off, and join the bare wires together.

Ive been reading people cut the old wear indicators off of the old pads and then join them two together meaning that nothing needs to be done to the plug coming from the car.

To add, there is no wear sensors on the rear pads and only a sensor on one of the front pads.

I'm looking at Tarox G88 discs and Strada pads for my 2.0 TSi. I emailed Tarox about the pads:

"Regarding the Strada pads, do they come with the wire/connector in order to connect to the car's pad wear warning light?"

They replied:

"Yes the pads will come with correct wear indicator. The pads are manufactured to exact sizing and specification the only difference being the makeup of the brake compound"

are these pads ok for roads/Cold use? are you guys running these on stock calipers too?

I went EBC Yellowstuff with Brembo HC discs in the end. Pads F and R were £130 and disc were £180. Alot cheaper than other options. Will say what they are like on the track/Road in Sept

They are direct replacements for OEM pads so will fit the stock calipers, just make sure to select the correct ones for your car. The Strada pads are designed for every day/fast road driving. Tarox also do the Corsa (track/fast road) and Competizione (purely track) pads.

Finally got my new Tarox discs and pads fitted - went for G88 discs and Strada pads all round. Only done a few miles since so can't comment on the performance yet.

Can anyone recommend the best way to bed in new discs and pads? I've read things online saying drive them easy for ~300 miles, and other things saying perform a few hard stops 50-10mph etc. What's the best method?

Also getting some nasty squeal from the new setup when braking at low speed (20-0mph)...will this go away as the pads bed in? It's pretty loud and annoying right now!

When the pads where fitted, did you use..........forgotten the name of it now. its a brown paste you put on the back of the pads to stop them squealing??

usually 4-5 runs from 70-80 to 20mph will bed in the pads

Copper Grease

I had them fitted by a local garage at the same time they were doing the service and MOT so imagine they greased them correctly. The squeal isn't all the time...seems to start once I have done a few miles after any moisture/corrosion has been wiped away.
