Thought I'd start a thread so I can keep track of my progress.
Will be slow but should get there.
Sold my rising blue 140 and made the impulse decision to get a 2.0 tsi.
Picked the car up from Kent and drove her 570 miles home, to Aberdeen.

Plans are/were
H&R 35mm springs - rears done
De-badge - done
Mk5 r32 setup - collecting bits
Wheels - undecided
R/R-line bumpers
Remap
Exhaust

Sure there will be more as I go but that's it for now.

I'll fire up some picks for now until I get the ball rolling!

Also De-badge the rear
With the help of a hair dryer some tooth floss!

And finally, cleaned the exhaust for possibly the first time ever

Rear end looking much cleaner

All for now, maybe have more this weekend!

Such a fat Arse!! lol

Yours looks like a clean model. What did you use to clean the engine bay?
Also, you can try using some brasso on the exhaust tailpipes to make it shiney again. help to get rid of the black soot stains

Got to love the rear end.
I used some amdetails all purpose cleaner (APC) with a small detailing brush, then washed it all down and covered the bay with amdetails multi purpose cleaner..
Would recommend amdetails products, really good quality and doesn't break the bank.

Tail pipes are quite pitted so will need a good buff I think!

Bit more progress this weekend

Decided to paint the inserts on the grill and delete the fogs.
Luckily found a guy on eBay selling the fog trims on eBay and picked them up at a nb price..

Also fitted some 12mm spacers. Car sits perfect now, maybe a little more needed at front but I'm happy!

Looks good mate. Question about the front bumper. Looks like you went for a Matt black, and did you paint the honeycomb on grill part?

Thanks mate. The honeycomb grille is gloss black, and I haven't got round to doing the two fog lights blanks yet as I ran out of materials!
