Hi
can someone help me. I am trying to upgrade a Rcd 510 to a RNS 510
The car came with a Bury installed , which is working .
The problem is that when I connect the RNS 510 everything works apart from a loss of sound
On the unit and the bury .
Is there a wiring harness adapter that I need to order , or another fix
Regards Jason

Re: No sound
Have you coded the RNS to the car properly?
Re: No sound
No coding . i was hoping it was just plug and play.
Re: No sound
No, you need to code the unit to the cars specification, so that the sat nav works correctly and the two talk to each other.
Does your car have Dynaudio installed?

Re: No sound
Hi Viking thanks for the reply
The car does not have Dynaudio installed
looks like I will have to find someone in the West Mids/Shropshire who can code it in for me then.
I was just wondering weather I was getting a conflict between the Bury and the Headunit.
Do you know anybody in my area for the coding?

Re: No sound
No, miles away from me mate in North Yorks.
Most likely the unit you've installed came from a car with Dynaudio, and your car doesn't have it, so the sound system the unit is looking for isn't there to make any sound.

Hi Viking
Yes it does say Dynaudio on the start up screen , so you must be right
So is it just a case of getting coded then

Re: No sound
Yep, simple enough to do if you know what you're doing.
