DCC
My rocco has DCC and i always drive my car in the normal mode. I want to get some coil overs and lower the car but most are not compatible with DCC unless you want to fork out £2000. So i was looking at some H+R coil overs for around £840 for the set, they do not have the adjustable damping so was wondering whether i could get away with getting these coil overs that don't support DCC, will the ride be unbearable?

Re: DCC
I suggest you beg a ride in a car that has coilovers before you fork out that kind of money and see for yourself
I have only ever fitted coilovers to one car in the past, and i would never do it again for a daily driver, it was great on track, but shocking on the road, don't get me wrong, i like a nice form ride, but coilovers + UK roads do not mix well, IMO

Re: DCC
Have you not thought about lowering springs?
You can get a decent drop depending on what springs you choose to go with. DCC is a decent bit of kit so not sure why people want to get rid of it.
Id have a look & H&R/ Eibach springs first. or even VMaxx springs as they have quick a low drop for just springs

Re: DCC
Indeed, DCC was one of the main attractions for me in choosing a Rocco over other similar cars, and even though i've only had it a couple of weeks i can't stop fiddling with itParadox1 wrote:Have you not thought about lowering springs?

Admittedly the vast majority of the time when i'm on my own in the car it's in Sport mode, but on very pot holed roads and speed bumps i knock it into Comfort, and usually Normal or Comfort when i'm taking the missus out

But if the OP find Sport setting too stiff/uncomfortable, then you will hate coilovers

Re: DCC
Sorry to tread bomb.
But in terms of springs, what's the best ones to get with the best drop.
Assume it's out of h and r and VWR but just looking at options
But yeah if sports mode is too stiff then getting coily jobbies is not the way.

Re: DCC
for the rocco, VWR springs, and be done with it, the DCC and VWR springs make for a really good height for a daily driver, not terrible on a daily, but I find it quite harsh ( i have a set of VWR's on my mk6 gti with DCC)
The KW coilovers are amazing but I wouldn't bother unless I had a rocco R and I was doing a lot of track work!
