Guys,
can any of you recommend a good IPOD dock, what I am looking for is something portable to take on holiday that will also be used at home. Sound quality is a must, not too heavy, price around 100-150 quid ish. I have heard the bose sounddock and that is excellent but would not want to take that on holiday in a suitcase due to the cost and if I remember rightly, its quite big.
cheers

A couple of holidays ago I bought one of these JBL On Stage Dock / Micro speakers
http://www.jbl.com/home/products/produc ... reid=12362
I found the sound surprisingly good. It packs quite a punch and can be turned up quite loud without ever sounding tinny. The base response is pretty good in fact.
It comes with a mini remote control that just controls the volume and track skip forward and back.
As you can see from the pic. it's pretty small, shaped like a doughnut and your ipod sits in the middle.
Not the greatest speaker in the world but good enough to fill your holiday apartment with reasonable sound.
Only two drawbacks.
1. It doesn't come with a carrier case. I just wrap a piece of bubble wrap around it a couple of times before putting it in my case.
2. The plug is one of those great big fat ones and weighs almost as much as the speaker. But then again I think a lot of those speaker / docks have those big plugs on them.
Hope that helps.
Edit to the above: Just looked at that linked page and it seems this model is slightly updated from my model.
This model now takes batteries too and also seems to have a better navigating facility for playlists etc.
