Retro Fit Rear Parking Sensors

Hi all - very recent owner of a late model 2014 1.4 160PS...

Has anyone had rear parking sensors retro-fitted?

I am interested in looking into having this done, but all I need is a simple "beep beep" system. Not interested in fancy cameras and so on. I've seen a few advertised on the Internet so after some real world experiences.

Cheers.

A camera is easier to install and maybe even cheaper.

Mine were retrofitted by the VW dealer I bought it from, beeping only with which I'm quite happy. From memory it cost about £200, 5 years ago though.

Fantastic - thanks!

Has anyone fitted their own? Wondering if there is an easy to fit, minimal wiring, not fugly solution?

Cheers.

It's not overly complicated. If you can wire them into the reverse light without causing any dash errors then it should be very easy. I've seen my mate who's a mechanic fit several sets and he says the hardest part is marking the bumper and cutting it. It usually take a couple of hours for him to fit them.

I had mine fitted by dealers when I bought it, they made a balls of the painting of the sensors so it's back with them now to do it properly. I didn't think it would that hard to paint them properly
