Scirocco Central

Washed the car at the weekend and noticed that the paint appears to be being taken off by the rubber seals on both drivers and passenger side. I'm not sure if it is just the rubber from the seal on the paint or if the paint is actually gone. I've never seen this before, has anyone else, car is at the dealers at the moment so I can't post a pic.

I had this on my previous car (or at least it sounds like the same problem), which was a MY2009 TDI. Sorted it by applying a thin clear protection film. I never actually understood 100% the cause of it, but it was right in the rear corner and the Scirocco doors are very long, so a small misalignment will quickly cause problems. No signs of this issue on my current newer Roc.

Got same problem ... I think it's because the doors drop slightly, so the hinge needs adjustment but touching it with touch up paint and some clear film sorts it

Yeah, I haven't noticed any dropping of the door really, it's with the dealer at the moment and I've asked them to have a look, when you adjusted the hinges did the seals remove the touch up paint after that?
