Finally lowered my Roco this weekend with H&R springs 35mm & got the rear windows tinted to 20% only had my Roco for about 3 weeks but got a lot of plans for the future once the funds are there!

Defiantly mate, so glad I did, ride is still exactly as it was with normal springs plus it looks 100x better

Lowering is so difficult a decision to make!

I am no modder, but on my previous car an MX5 MK3 I had the Ebach pro kit fitted and boy did it make a difference to both the handling and the looks. However, the car gods give with one and and take with another. For all the plus points the minus side was a car which could no longer tackle some of London's speed bumps without taking them diagonally at 3MPH... it also grounded once on a bumpy country lane (OK I was in 'fast' mode) - that was very disconcerting!

The Scirocco (very recent owner) doesn't need this mod as much as the MX5 MK3 did IMHO and I will be keeping it at standard height - it still looks superb and I can't fault the handling and ride compromise.

If you are considering lowering it I'd look at the routes you normally take - how will it work on those roads? The problem is that speed humps and bumps all over the country are often way over what they should be and the sound of your car grounding is one of the worst things in the world.

Completely agree mate, I had a civic type s previous to my scirocco and also lowered that, my scirocco now lowered to me, looks absolutely perfect, the handling to me has not changed, it is a tiny tiny bit harder hitting small pot holes etc, no problems with even the big speed bumps on routes I use daily.

All in all its a personal decision and as you said mate if you're happy with the standard no need to change.
