Price seems a bit to close to the R.
Only another 4k for another 60hp, bi-xenon, XDS probably some others...

Hi Selley, no worries - that thread has being going quite a while and has only just been added to.

Indeed - I was disappointed when they dropped the 220PS in favour of the 180PS engine last year, as was predicted - they were reserving this engine for the GTS.

Regarding price point. If I was buying new again, I would be a tad confused, we now have:-

These are starting prices:-

Scirocco - £21,010
Scirocco GT - £22,860
Scirocco GT Black - £23,410
Scirocco R -Line - £26,985
Scirocco R Line Black Edition £27,535
Scirocco GTS £28,470
Scirocco R £32,855

Even lightly speccing a GTS, you soon encroach on 'R' territory, so with the R-Line's so closely priced, I think I would go the whole hog and buy the R.

It is strange how the R Line Black Edition and the GTS are only £935 different, and you get that 220PS engine in the GTS. I have not studied all the specs though, so there could be more to it than meets the eye.
