2010 1.4 tsi water/condensation in driver's headlight

Recently I had an issue with an hid set up on my car that the previous owner had fitted. The rubber cover at the rear of the light unit had been cut slightly to allow the wires to pass through and had been sealed with Araldite. This was the light nearest the wings at each side. I had to disturb this seal when removing the bulbs. The condensation since then at the driver's side is bad. I cannot see any issue. I put Araldite over the grommet seal today but when I removed the full beam bulb rubber cover, there was an actual puddle of water in the light. I used kitchen roll to get as much away as possible. No damage to the light. Surely a small gap that was around the rubber grommet wouldn't cause such an intake of water?
