Scirocco Central

bought my scirocco tdi 2/3 weeks ago. When i was checking it over i noticed the oil level was really low so i topped it up with just under 1L. 2 weeks later I've noticed the oil is low again and it seems to have gone down really quick. Is this normal? I've not noticed and leaks or smoking coming from the exhaust so seems to be using the oil quite excessively. thanks

Not normal, my TDI doesn't use a drop of oil.

As you've just bought the car, I would get an oil change and make sure it's filled with 5w30 that meets VW507.00 from one of the reputable brands like Castrol, Mobil etc.. Unlikely nut just incase the wrong oil has been used on the last change.

After that, you need to narrow it down to whether it's leaking or being burned.

If you bought it from a dealer / trader take it back to them with your concerns.

yeah going to get the oil changed this weekend hopefully, when i topped it up i used Castrol so ill make sure its the correct oil again. Also going to change the filter while i'm at it and hopefully it will sort it because i bought the car privately. thanks for the help
