Just go to http://dvlaregistrations.direct.gov.uk/home/ and you can search for prefixes that will give you whats available that's close. Some better ones will be released in 2011but you cant reserve. I have notice prices going up recently though.

Follow link in previous post.

Look at prefix style search for S--CCO or S--OCO.

That's how I got mine. (S18CCO)

There are still some available for £245.00.

Was thinking about plates today (bit of a sad past time of mine lol) and it occured to me that R20 ROC will become valuable to someone pretty soon if anyone was thining about investing... I would myself but just don't have the funds right now!

My current plate is meant to reflect my name FII KET (Phil Kett) but everyone seems to think it says something else :D

Actually I like it - going into boring linguistics mode (sorry) if the first and last letters are correct and the ones in the middle are something like they should be, the brain apparently makes words look like ones it recognises. This is what i've read, anyway - have you seen the posters in railway stations about abuse of staff not being tolerated? They really work. So in your plate as you have the first 2 and last 3 letters of Scirocco, i reckon that at a glance it will look good.

Hi guys. I m from Slovakia. And I m getting my Rocco in like one month. But i steel havent decide what license plat should i get.... i have to choices.... first is for free and will say ZV-666CA
and second is like 300Euro and it ll say ZV-ROCCO. Is that 300 euro worth it? thank you for answers.

ZV-ROCCO looks good but it's up to you decide if you want to part with 300 euros. I don't know what are the rules in Slovakia for private plates. Are they going with the car and you will have to sell them with car too or you can keep it later if you have another rocco?

My private plates are on the way. I sent docs to DVLA and still waiting. Did anyone order private plates with custom fonts? I found fonts similar to Scirocco name but I'm not sure should I go with it or just classic one.

The second one supposed to be classic UK but it looks a little bit strange in my opinion.

the UK ruling on numberplates are as follows.. (source The plate market http://www.theplatemarket.com/display_o ... umberplate very handy link)

Number plates fitted after 1st September 2001
Any number plate made up after 1st September 2001 must meet the dimensions as below:
Character Height 79 mm
Character Width (except the figure 1 or letter I) 50 mm
Character stroke 14 mm
Space between characters 11 mm
Space between groups 33 mm
Top, bottom, and side margins (minimum) 11 mm
Space between vertical lines 19 mm

Number plate font
All number plates made after 31st August 2001 must display the mandatory font. Number plates made prior to this date must be substantially the same.
Stylised letters (or fixing bolts which alter the appearance of the letters) are not allowed.

so sorry the stylised font won't be allowed.

That's interesting. So why it's offered on different sites and you can order these plates? I also seen the plates with this exact stylised font on car with reg 54 recently. I assumed that if all these customised plates are offered they are in line with current law. I feel a little disappointed.
