I'd like to get the cable and software for diagnosing and fault reading. I've seen cheap ones on eBay and not so cheap ones, also seen the Ross Tech ones for the price of a small countries GDP.
I obvs won't be buying a £5 one but a bit reluctant to spend a fortune on Ross Tech cable, or should I?
What cables do you guys have? Links?
Pros and cons please

Genuine one which will still sell for nearly what you paid for it in five years time. Comes with free updates, technical support (which you're unlikely to need because it just always works), and pays the wages of the people who manufacture and develop it.
Or you can spend a little money on something which someone stole and sells to people who don't care who they rip off, and take a chance that you might actually get something which works.
