Couple of questions about my new roc - Help

Hi,

I've recently taken delivery of my 2nd roc going from a 58 plate to a brand new one & have 2 questions that im hoping someone can help me out with.

1. I have the folding in mirrors, the sales guys told me they can be set to fold in on the key remote and ive scheduled an appointment for this however the service dept called me just to say this cant be done but they're up for trying but failed on a previous attempt. Not really filling me with confidence there but do any of you know if this can be done?

2. On the MFD there is a speedo in kph, can this be changed to mph? Ive looked through the menu's but drawn a blank so far.

1. Folding mirrors on the press of the key fob on the Scirocco is not straightforward and very difficult to implement. Sales guy was talking mince. Do a search there have been a few threads on this very subject.
2. The KPH digital speedo is on lieu of no KPH markings on the analogue MPH speedo, so it can't be changed. However, using VCDS you can implement a large MPH digital speedo in the MFD by setting region to Rest of World.

1) If its not possible to enable it in the coding of the doorcontrollers you need a specialist with vag can pro to load new firmware in the doorcontrollers to get this function. This is 2 minuts work but few people that can perform it.

Post with the error message here no reply so far....

It can be done. I had to manually input the code on my 2015.

Oh that's good news many thanks for the reply. Can you talk me thro doing that? What does manually input the code mean? The rest of the world code or some other code?

Well I've spoken with the dealer again & they have said again that they maybe able to do the mirrors, they wont know until I take it down to see if they can code them together. Not really sure how I feel about this but surely its a yes or no thing.

As for the speedo, my analogue dials have kph around them as well as mph.

Yep the 2015 models do (and hence they look a bit cluttered) but previous models didn't. That maybe the reason why the alternative digital display has less functionality on the 2015 model. I was hoping the bald dog man would respond with how he did the manual input. So bump......
