Headlight level motor

Hi guys

Has anyone replaced their headlights or had to replace the headlight level motor?

I am looking to replace my headlights but need to swap the levelling motor from the existing lights to the new ones. I can get the motor to turn a quarter turn and it does pull out of the unit an inch or so but it will not pull free.
