My Midnight Blue R

As a lot of you will know, I have now sold my old Pewter Grey GT

After 3 years, it was time for something new but I still enjoyed the Sciroccos! After meeting up with quite a few other you forum members, I was dead set on a Scirocco R (meeting victor had a lot to do with this) and was prepared to wait for the right one.

When PeterG sent me pictures of his new Scirocco R in midnight Blue earlier this year, that's when I really caught the bug. The colour and the spec was incredible and I instantly found myself on autotrader, Ebay and used VW looking for a midnight blue with Recaro seats...... But it's not all that common!! So when Pete gave me a shout a few months back to say he was thinking of selling, I had to (somehow) put the cash together :D

I picked her up saturday and here she is...

She's currently On KW coilovers and a lot lower than I can deal with for daily use so will be raising up soon.

The exhaust and the brake kit are incredible but both will be for sale soon so keep eyes out as well as all the mods from my GT. Savannahs are staying ;)

Looks lovely!

Out of curiosity , how does the R drive compared to the mapped GT?

Interestingly, although it is stage 2 mapped, it's not mapped by either of the big main brands (revo/APR). It is quicker by along shot than my old stage 1 revo but I am planning to revo stage 1 the R asap. Just doesn't quite have the aggressive feel under my right foot like my old one had, but I know it has the potential after driving a friends stage 1 revo'd R last week.

Such a nice R. Looks so good in Night Blue.
Can't wait to see it on the Savannahs.

Thanks all! Tonight i accidentally put my Savannahs on haha  Also removed my black badges and replaced them with the the original chrome ones.

I was supposed to wind the coils up this evening, but decided to get them done professionally as i only plan to have it done once.

Midnight Blue looks very understated. A good choice for an R as there can't be that many around.

Looks lovely Phil, absolutely love the interior. Those wing backs are just pure seat porn

The savannahs suit the R so well too, looking forward to the progress on this! Don't raise it! Wind them down more.. I reckon you could go another 15mm :jester:

Looking superb with the Savannahs just as expected. Possible future spec of car for me, possibly maybe hopefully someday.
