why can you select D straight away from being in Sport but you can't go the other way with out being stationary and depressing the lock? I think i've seen on ETKA that cables link the gearstick to the box but why? surely it could be done so much more simpler by making it electronic.

You can on mine? You can change as much as you like while on the move.

me too .... hold the trigger and move into S whenever you want, any speed / gear

ah, maybe its me then, i thought because it locked that you could only do it when stationary
