Hi Guys,

My first time posting here in the Forum so any help would be much appreciated from you knowledgeable Roc heads.

I have a 2.0 TSI 58 plate which needs a new intake manifold as diagnosed by VW.

The mechanic has quoted £610 for the newer intake manifold including labour.

My question is does anyone have the part no for the the newer intake manifold which supersedes the original intake manifold which seems to be a common problem.

Was thinking once I get the part no , I can look for the part at breakers or eBay . A good mechanic should be able to fit the new intake manifold , hopefully greatly reducing my outlay as £600 is a lot.

Hi,

For CAWB / CCZB engines the old part number was 06J133201AS

The new part number, that replaced it on 01/07/2014 is 06J133201BD.

There is a sticker in your boot at the side where the spare wheel is, alternatively its on the v5 certificate also.

Part nos quoted above are correct for your car. I had mine replaced a few weeks ago.

Confirmed its CAWB from my v5.

Just wondering how much yours cost to replace ? Was it from VW?

Would anyone recommend against purchasing the part and getting a good garage to fit. I would think that most garages would be able to do the job, or is it an intricate job ?

I had mine done for £175 by a local garage. Got the new manifold for a third of the price.

I now have this fault (P2015). I have no problems with the car. IE no flat spots or increased fuel consumption.
My mechanic friend says it is still working fine, so must be the sensor. Although, this means a full replacement part.
He has advised against replacing it, as it doesn't cause an issue, due to the stealer price. However, switching the light off every few days is becoming very annoying..

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for the part and where did you buy it from?
Cheapest i've found is £150. Imported from the USA

Won't find it much cheaper than that. USA prices are much lower than you can find in UK/EU. Labour charges are for about 2 hours work to replace.

I was the same , ended up driving around with it for around 3 or 4 months. Just recently got it replaced as the light was annoying me. However i did notice better MPG since the part was replaced , not a lot , but a bit of an improvement!
And no light

The delivery drives the price up a bit , but it was with me in 3 days!

I purchased from eBay for a total of about £120 from the USA.
It took about a week to receive the manifold so if you're in a rush the link in the previous might be easier.

Thanks for that. Works out roughly the same price as ebay. So unless I find it much cheaper, which I doubt very much, i'll buy from that site.
Did you have to buy anything else? I've read on some sites about buying 4x other parts?

Just had mine replaced the other week...running a hell of a lot smoother now plus better mpg.

Evening, first time poster here.

I've been driving my 10 plate 40k mile roc around for months with this P2015 issue. Mechanic friend with diagnostic tool had a look and wasn't too worried about the problem - I haven't noticed anything either. Local VW dealer quoted me over £700 for a fix when I took it in for servicing. Looking around it seems VW customer service not keen on helping out. Anyone else had any luck with contributions lately? Sure I saw something about our US cousins getting it done on recall, could use it as leverage?

Also had the famous water pump leak but luckily it was within the three month warranty period I had when buying second hand - with 21K on the clock!

Any advice appreciated.

Have the same P2015 issue that all here have mentioned. Been driving around my 61 plate TSI 2.0 for 6 weeks without any noticeable difference as a mechanic friend mentioned he wouldn't be bothered about it. Now looking to replace the part if i can find a cheaper eBay alternative is the £580+VAT i've been quoted is daylight robbery.

I got my manifold changed last year on 58 Plate 2.0 GT. Learned a very expensive lesson. Local garage got what was meant to be a 2nd hand part from ebay. Ended up to be a crap replicate. Took my car to a vw specialist and payed for VW part and a walnut clean of the valves. Car is running smooth
