Scirocco Central

Hello! I'm new to this board so i'll apologise in advance if I'm posting this in the wrong place! I ordered my new (and first) Scirocco from the dealer on Saturday- any idea how long is it likely to be before they ring with an order number so I can track progress? I'm like a child the night before xmas!

I got mine the day after the order went in. Did they email you any paperwork after you placed the order?

Took about a week to get mine. I read somewhere that if the dealer doesn't have any allocation they can't place the order and therefore you won't get an order number. Don't know how true that is though and hope you're not waiting too long.

No, they have't emailed me anything and to be honest I seriously question the competence of the sales guy!!

Give the guy a call and ask him for the order number so you can keep track of your order and see what he says

So I gave them a call and they gave me an order number but it doesn't work when I enter it into the track your order function. They say this is because it's takes a couple of doors to show up on VWs system, no idea if this is right or not......

Now and again the tracking number won't work when you enter it and normally resolves fairly quickly. However, I think you should be at stage 1 - processing your order when you've just put an order in. That's if your order has indeed been placed by the salesman...

In that case, I'll give it a day or two and then give them a ring if it isn't resolved. Thanks for your help!
