Exhaust question
Hi,
I've got the baby Roc (the 1.4 122hp, insurance cost exempts me getting any other) and was just wondering what's the best exhaust for a nice sound? (Not too over the top boy racer-y though)
Also, do you get any gains from a custom exhaust? (Don't really know much about 'em) ... got about £500 max.
Thanks!

Re: Exhaust question
Also, what would I need to make it same as the R exhaust? I'm guessing you can't put the R exhaust on the 1.4 tsi, no?

Re: Exhaust question
You'd need the rear body kit also as the R exhaust is 1 each side, not two on the left. Then you'd need the R boot lid also as I believe they are slightly different to the regular boots to fit said R body kit.
Unless i'm mistaken.

Re: Exhaust question
Is your car a facelift or pre faceliftJayPaynter wrote:Also, what would I need to make it same as the R exhaust? I'm guessing you can't put the R exhaust on the 1.4 tsi, no?
Facelift all you need to do is change the rear valance expensive mod £180 then the r exhaust fits .
Preface lift you can buy a rear valance off eBay or you have to buy an r bumper
Then the exhaust does fit

Re: Exhaust question
Hi, I've ended up going with an R32 style exhaust as I fancied something different... Found the valance cheap on ebay so going to get a custom exhaust for now

Re: Exhaust question
I'm worried that you have a GT rather than a R-line as les suggested further up. If you have a GT (122 is a GT) then the valance will not fit you will need a new bumperJayPaynter wrote:Hi, I've ended up going with an R32 style exhaust as I fancied something different... Re: Exhaust question
I am almost sure there is a valance you can purchase on ebay it fits over the top of the original bumper but you have to cut the original one behind for the exhaust outlets I think I would agree with you and go for a second hand r bumperphiljay92 wrote:I'm worried that you have a GT rather than a R-line as les suggested further up. Re: Exhaust question
Oh, I hope not... The advert did say it was for the 122 model so it should fit.philjay92 wrote:I'm worried that you have a GT rather than a R-line as les suggested further up.
