Looking at a Scirocco to buy

Post by DanGB »

Hi All,

first post.

I am going to look at a Scirocco tomorrow:
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... gcode=visc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Ive never purchased a car from a main dealer before, im prepared to haggle, but do they normally discount at all?

Would you guys say thats a decent price?

Doesnt seem to Have any options, but its the Year where I believe Sat-Nav and Leather came standard?

May thanks.

You normally can get a discount if paying full also try for servicing, I got 3 services with mine for nothing and price wise just depends on the body condition and interior but dealers are usually more then going private.

Looks like a very fair price for a main dealer. If I were you,I'd try and get at least a few hundred off it, given that you are a cash buyer.

Quick heads up - the black VW badges aren't a stock option and has been added by previous owner. Not saying it's been modded in any other way but just be on the look out.....

Sadly these days cash is not king and actually gives less opportunity to haggle. Sales people now make more money from add ons like finance and gap insurance than they do for the actual car. Rather than a discount it can be easier to get a service package or extra warranty thrown in.
