I have the same problem but the rns510 is so expensive to upgrade to I was looking at a pioneer Sph-da120

Re: What audio system should I buy??
I upgraded to a Kenwood DNX-5210BT and was great except the radio... ability to pick up a good reception was terrible. I'm a heavy radio listener to changed it out for a Pioneer AVIC-F950BT. Unit itself is great, but disappointed with the finished look as well as the placement of the additional aerials for DAB and phone. Honestly, wish I'd spent the money on an upgrade to the top spec VM unit.

I've had both the SPH-da120 and the end-510, I found the reception was poor in the pioneer but the CarPlay was good if not not buggy. I'm very happy with the rns, it does everything I need it to, although the it was expensive.
