Hello all my names Patrick. Been lurking around on here for a while now, and like all of us I've got the modifying bug so I am going to start a thread to share my progress with you and track it for myself. I've had it from new It's a 2014 CW R-Line with 19'' Luganos and full leather interior.

After a good clean, completely standard here apart from the pressed private plates.

Alongside my mates 1 Series, standard headlights but changed the sidelights to white LED's. Really liked my mates black wheels after seeing them when they was standard silver like mine so the first thing i did was get the Luganos sprayed Gloss Black

In my opinion it completely transformed the car I think white cars with black wheels really go, looks much more aggressive.
Next week hopefully I will be ordering some H&R springs for now to close the arch gaps.
I fitted white LED reg plate lights, the usual nothing major! Plan on doing a full white LED interior probably sometime next week or weekend.
Also changed the headlights to LEDs to get rid of that cheap disgustful yellowness haha. And fitted Matte black VW badges front and rear.

And then this happened... a big blue transit van drove into the side of me on a dual carriageway way all because he did not check his mirrors, there was no way I could have avoided this he just flew over into the side of me haha.

Bye bye baby.... off to the bodyshop.

I got it back now mate that happened a few weeks ago, just building the thread of what I've done and what's happened with it. I'll get you the link for them mate, tbh with you they are crap they just look good, they are not even real bulbs, they are SMD leds like what you'd have in your reg lights the outlet of light is so poor as well ha but I'll inbox you the link once I've found them and you can try them out they are cheap so if you don't like them then you can just get rid of em.

In the mean time I was given an Audi A3 sport with an S-tronic gear box and paddles and that fun stuff. Obviously going from my manual scirocco into an automatic I loved it, the comfort of it and the ease of driving without reaching for a gear knob all the time. Then I started to miss the manual stick, but I'm glad this happened as I probably will get an DSG R when the time comes to get rid of my R-Line. Interior was decent also, can't wait for the new scirocco to come out with a new interior update.

I bought a new plate for the rear of my car, a short one which was meant to go on the day the transit van crashed into me I was all happy leaving work to give the car a clean with new products and put the plate on but obviously it didn't happen.

Not too sure of this plate just because of the old screw holes that was existing from the old plates so I put the screws in the holes so they wasn't just drill holes but I think this looks stupid as well, looks like two added small parking sensors so probably gonna take them off on the weekend and replace it back with pressed plates?

I also quite like the number plate as it is. Look forward to the rest of your thread. [emoji106]

Next up was these Dectane taillights, I was ummming and arrrrring about these for a while but after seeing Luke.08's ones and having a quick chat about them with him I thought f*** it why not so I bought them, As Luke says they have a small fog light issue which I haven't sorted yet but will this week.

Next I fully wrapped all interior trim in a carbon wrap, I did spray it all gloss black but it came out not very good so I decided to go with the wrapping which was easier than I thought considering I don't have patience for things like this usually.

May do both door triangles again soon as I rushed them and did a bit of a bodge drop because I was running out of vinyl, but still looks good compared to the standard silver.

Unlocked the big speedo via VAGCOM along with cornering lights and needle sweep. I was going to do the alarm chirp but thought it would be annoying, apart from the closing of windows with the rain sensor is there anything else you recommend unlocking?

Me going 180MPH with zero petrol and no hands on the wheel curtosy of the needle sweep lol
Wanted to get a bootliner to go over the carpet in the boot, looks a lot more neater, didn't really want to pay however much it was from the stealers so one came up on eBay for next to nothing so I bought it.

Those are my headlights, I'll get a pick of what they are like at night from inside the car, they are not very good outlet but look good in the day as they still give out a really white/blue effect.
And thanks

Paid £30 with like £5 postage so was a considerable saving compared to the dealers.

Cheers mate. It was a guy selling it because he was getting rid of his car. But have a look on eBay that's where I got it from there should be one floating about on there. After I bought my one my mate sent me a link to another one that sold a little cheaper. So they are always on there from time to time.

After going on a little road trip last night I was driving down some country roads with no street lighting, and I noticed how bad my headlights are even though they look good they are really bad output ha, so for anybody thinking about getting them....
The beam does not even reach the tarmac haha. Will be changing these now probably.
Some sensible driving by me, usually this is around 29MPG somehow.
