I have so chrome lip window switches, however from what I can see I need to remove the door cards to fit them? Seems a long process to change the switch!
Does anyone know the proper method for replacing these?

All I can say Gazza is don't rush it because door cards are a pain and easy to bodge. I had to remove from my Caddy and due to having to use a bit of force when stuck they never seemed to have that new OEM look again.

i've got these going in too stu. door cards do have to come off, plenty of threads here covering it, yanking the grab handle off is the hardest part. may be doing mine very soon and will no doubt post pics.

I am confident enough to remove the door cards, just seemed long winded to replace some window switches! But if they must come off they must come off
Does anyone know where I can purchase a bootlid switch with chrome lip? to match the window switches

just tried the wing mirror chrome cover from bold-sport, doesn't fit which is a shame though i may be able to mod it into place though not mega confident. so maybe avoid that one for now i'd say. switches should be ok (though not tried them yet)... will update when i've had a proper go some time this week.

did you get just the cover? Or the whole new unit? As it lists what cars just the cover fits and does not list the scirocco

Another bump from me.
I managed to break the passenger side window switch when i removed my door card! The circuit board inside has come out and is damaged. The bottom connector has also come off. So I need to replace the window switch with a new one.
I spent the past hour figuring out how to "pop" out this window switch, and failed to do so. Unfortunately it seems to be a lot more difficult than as described by Victor. And I am worried that I will break something else when trying to yank it out.
Can someone please tell me how to take the window switch out? Is there any guide? (I tried the search but could not find any guide).
Please help, I am kind of desperate, and currently driving around with no door card.
