Hi there

We are looking to order a rocco in the very near future but our dealer doesnt seem 100% confident what interior roof lining the 2.0tsi would have......So a question to any members with 2.0tsi cars what colour is your roof lining....

Grey
White

Any replies would be great

Black - sure its black on all 2.0 TSI GT UK spec cars

isnt it black on all uk spec cars?

Here in Israel we get the 2.0 Tsi in black and 1.4 Tsi in grey-white..

No i think the none GT cars come with a grey headliner. I am sure there are some posts on this and pictures in the gallery.

Not sure how it was for early models but when looking to buy mine I was told that the black roof lining comes with the leather options. Otherwise its grey (or was it beige ? - Hell its so long since I ordered my Roc I can't remember).

Mine is 2.0 TDi GT and that is grey [rising blue], mate at work has one with black roof lining and that is 2.0 TSi GT [in black].

I know that doesn't help massively, possibly engine type determines it?

Not sure if it is 2.0TSI dependent or leather dependent.

There were 2 x 2.0TSI's in the dealership that both had leather, and both had black roof lining.

My 2.0TDI GT with cloth seats has the grey/white roof lining.

My 2.0 TSI has Black Headlining with the cloth interior.

My 2.0 TDI GT has the grey rooflining. There was another post on here where someone who had the same car but with leather got the black rooflining.

I guess while manufacturing they're installing whatever comes next at the line up

All the cars with the 200hp engine(both GT and non-GT) have the black roof, regardless of the fabric on the seats.
All european models which have the Sports Package, with the Alcantara seats have the black roof, regardless of the engine power (122,160,140 or 200)
Every other car that doesn't belong there has the grey roof!
So, if you live in the UK you should buy a 2.0 to have the black roof. Everything else is grey!

Maybe it also depends upon whether you have Convenience Menu - Mirror Down as well :twisted:

My GT TDi has black paint, black leather and black roof lining I was worried a while back after reading about TDi's with grey...

I contacted VW UK regarding the grey or black roof liner, this is the reply I got, simple really:

"Good morning Alan,

Thankyou for your enquiry.

Anything with black or truffle leather AND any 200PS, whether it's got cloth
or leather will get the black lining.
Everything else is grey.

Kind Regards"
