197bhp or 207bhp?

I'm going Scirocco shopping this weekend looking at a couple of 2009 2.0tfsi GTs.

I know the 207 engine was introduced in late 2009 but is there an easy visual way to tell which engine is fitted. One if the cars is definitely a 197 but I think the other one might be late 09 enough to have the 207. Will I be able to tell by looking under the bonnet?

Thanks

I believe the mk5 gti look or the 3 dial climate control was upgraded to one unit in the later versions

I wouldn't worry about the 197-207 change. I remember when i was looking to buy people had dynod the 197 the same as the 207. (Might be a VW marketing thing)
Even if there was a small difference i don't think its worth paying a premium for a 207 or saying no to a nice 197.
If your really bothered get it mapped. A 197 mapped will give you the same output as a 207 mapped.

But the change before that where the new interior came in. With the new dash and steering wheel is a must in my eyes.

Hope that helps
