Over the past 6 weeks I've been looking at a few things like claying my car and all of that malarky.. I've been a wash and polish person and thought that it brought the paint up really well.. but how i wrong i was! my car is currently 50 miles short of 50,000, and presumably never been clayed.. or so it appears.. So i ordered the bilt hamber regular clay, bought some Autoglym HD wax and gave it a go.. all i can say is WOW... I first washed the car with two bucket method using autoglym shampoo conditioner, which always disappoints me because of the lack of suds but there we go! then i clayed the whole car, but instead of water i used aqua wax.. which I'm pretty sure is not the right thing to do.. but i found it worked well.. and the clay was absolutely stinking by then end of each panel let alone car! but the difference in the paint after this stage was just unbelievable! The difference in the way the paint felt before and after is amazing.. you can't really understand it unless you've felt it yourself! I also now have a much better shine! so i carried on and finished it with super resin polish and HD wax.. the paint now looks and feels amazing! just can't wait to get my bonnet re sprayed now due to stone chips! Only problem is... I don't want to move it now haha! but basically in short.. if you're roc has done a fair few miles and you want a cheap way of making it look amazing for summer... CLAY IT... Oh and by the way... i'd love to hear what clay and wax you all use? cheers!

Couldnt agree more, claying makes a massive difference. now, if you want a mega shine, treat yourself to some chemical guys 'blacklight'. i swear by it, its amazing and gives a mirror finish, then finish it off with autofinesse desire.....

i also use the autoglym bodywork shampoo, to froth it up i put a big squirt in an inch of water, then stick the jetwash in the bucket, its like a foam party lol.

Once i've used everything I've got at the moment ill give them a go! i knew i had read somewhere that there was better stuff than auto glym! It's so awesome to see and feel the difference.. i can see myself being an OCD about it all very soon haha!

once you go away from autoglym, youll realise that theres much better stuff about. autofinesse, zaino, sonus, chemical guys, they all do great stuff. it gets expensive though!! but trust me, chemical guys blacklight, best 18 quid youll spend on sealant. watch there youtube vid to show you how best to apply.

If you want to go one step further than claying to get an even deeper finish to your paint then visit Carpro's website and pick some 'Iron X' up from there. This disolves the remaining iron filaments and contaminants that the clay bar cannot reach. It sprays on clear and once left, it will turn a deep purple where its dissolving the Iron and makes your car look like its bleeding!!

So I'm not t be only one that gets the roc clean then doesn't want to get it out the garage & use it lol.
I take it your car is black then? You should buy samples from a guy called Andy at clean your ride, £3 a pop, I use him now when I just need a little bit if something for a specific job or when I'm running out & can't decide what to do for next

Save an absolute fortune!! For example, Chemical guys Mr. Pink shampoo is £7.95 for 16oz or in bulk you can pick up 133oz for £36.99!! Its basically half price

Most websites offer bulk purchases. I get my stuff from Clean 'n' Shiny most times.
