Scirocco Central

I have a 2009 1.4tsi and after 5 months of having it the 5th gear synchromesh has been replaced, but the gears all seam to have got worse. When at high speed and dropping down from 6th to 5th the gearbox grinds when changing gear quickly.

The gearbox also feels clunky?

Does anyone know what it could be as every time I have taken it into the garage they say they can't find anything. It's under some kind of warrenty but they now want me to take it to vw and ask them?

Any advice please.

Don't know if this will help you, but I had that problem on my renault GT (car before my 'roc).. Different gear range - it tended to happen when going from 3 - 2... I took it in (under warranty), and they changed the entire gearbox!!!

So it's either your synchromesh again, or just tell them to change the gearbox
