Hi all,
I have a 2011 Scirocco, and recently the 'Check 3rd Brake Light' message is randomly coming on the dashboard, with the light icon lit. I've had someone check the 3rd Brake light (I'm assuming it's the one above the boot?) and it comes on ok. Also, this message isn't permanently on!
Anyone had a similar issue to this? Not sure I want to send it to VW with their charges, so hopefully I can get it sorted at a local garage?

Sounds like a dodgy sensor if the brake light is functioning ok. I am sure a local independent should be able to diagnose/fix.
