Will it pass?

Mr car is having its first MOT next Saturday. I've recently noticed vibration coming through the steering wheel under braking around 50MPH. I presume the MOT will pick this up? Would it cause it to fail the MOT? There's some scoring on the rear discs but the pads seems ok. The car has done 22500 miles.

Probably not fail but might get an advisory.

If the vibration is coming through the steering wheel then the issue is probably warped front discs.

If the discs are warped is this something covered under warranty? The car is 3 years old on 1st April

Very much doubt it, unless it can be linked back to a manufacturing problem, the dealer is more likely to think it is wear and tear and perhaps very heavy use of the brakes.

As above, wear and tear.

Here in Sweden the warranty covers only 5000km on the brakes.
Having problem with mine, noisy and screaming like hell, only after 10000km but nope, no warranty...

They don't drive the car on the road for the MOT. The brake tester roller is very low speed so if it only happens at 50mph they won't pick it up on the MOT.

And as a bit of brake judder is not dangerous just very annoying then not picking it up on the MOT is not an issue.

R front discs and pads about £150 and easy DIY job.
