Media unit switches between modes at will

Media unit switches between modes at will

My unit frequently switches from playing ipod or CD to the radio or vice versa as it chooses. There is no discernible trigger. My VW dealer has "investigated" at each service but has no clue. Is this happening to others or am I just lucky?
