Hi All,
Not even got a Rocco yet! but even now with my current motor I have been looking in to remote start applications/kits.
Has anyone ever fitted a remote start on a Rocco or at all?
Would like to be able to remotely start the car and keep it locked from inside my house if possible??
I see companies like http://www.viper.com/SmartStart/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; have an iPhone application to control starting the car and locks etc but I dont think these sort of systems work with all cars and not sure how it starts it without the immobiliser chip being near?
Any recommendations/past experiences or opinions please?
Cheers
Scott

Re: Remote Start
If you can find someone who can fit this please let me know!
My dad used to have a Viper remote starter when we used to live in Canada but unfortunately it seems as no one knows what it is over here.
I think getting one won't be a problem but someone to fit it may be tricky.
On our viper, this was about 15 years ago now! It was flawless, worked every time, this was a small key fob remote. You could never start the car by accident as you had to press 2 buttons for about 5 seconds for it to start and it would shut after 10 mins. I think this was up to the end user on how long they wanted the car to be on for.
And if I remember correctly, it would shut off as soon as the key is in the ignition too. Obviously things are way more advanced now so I can only see it as an improvement.
