Drivers Side wind noise

Any one have what they would call excessive wind noise where the inside trim of the drivers side mirror meets the rubber door seal. Its been like that since i got mine but I thought it was coming from the vent on the A pillar that demists the drivers side window but no. If I put my fingers around the rubber trim the wind noise is definately coming from there. Had a look at the rubber seal last night with the door wide open and there is an opening on the underside of the seal just level with top of the wing that i think the wind is getting up into then carrying on up into the seal. Only thing is the passenger side is they same but no noise from there at all.

I'm going to get it checked when I bring the car to the dealer. I've seen the problem myself though. If you stand next to the wing mirror and look were the glass is going up into the seal then pull the door handle only a few mm so that the window drops but the door doesn't open. You'll see the top edge of the glass and when you let the handle go the window will go up but you'll still see the top edge of the glass a bit. Now do the same on the other side and you should see a difference. The glass is leaving a gap between it's top edge and the seal. Probable only involves adjusting the glass.

was in for a few warranty items today and got this sorted. window just needs adjusted to close the gap that I had . They don't even need to strip the door I think there are 2 plugs under the door that can adjust front and back

I get this occasionally but can easily correct by pulling on the electric window switch to fully shut the window. I assume that the mechanism that closes the window when shutting the door doesnt always work... Dont know if this is the same problem though.

Mines OK on this, it's pretty good on wind noise, but the frameless doors do creak a little over bumps and stuff. It's just the glass creaking in the seals i imagine, inevitably there's some movement of the door in the frame over bumps, on any car, i think you just hear it on the scirocco because the frameless doors.

Yep I reckon this is a factor too, have just emailed the dealer with details, I was stopped at a roundabout, a strong side wind, and I could hear a faint whistle.
I have placed a thin strip of packing tape to the top of the window frame in such a way it forms a thin lip which will fold into the rubber seal when the windows rises and closes. It helps a little bit.
Going to see what the dealer says, they have refitted the flexible part of the door seal which is much better, this is coming from the top edge of the door/window seal.
@wigit - did you ever get this resolved? I had a look at some of your other posts and not sure you did.

I had this too - needed the dealer to replace the door contoller (presume it was not sending the glass up far enough to complete the seal). Thats sorted it out.
