Hi can anyone tell me if the passenger side window is one touch up and down if you're using the switch on the passenger side?
VW garage replaced my passenger door speaker recently and apparently they damaged the window switch. They replaced it and it works but I can't remember if the passenger side is a two stage switch, i.e. first click for manual up and down and second click for auto up and down. They replaced mine with just a single stage switch.
As the job was free of charge, because they caused they damage, I don't have any paperwork to check the switch part number.
Never operated the passenger window from the passenger door switch so don't know myself.
Mines a 2009 with white mfd if it makes any difference.
Can a fellow member check theirs and let me know please?
Thanks

Re: Passenger window - one touch or not?
Yes it is. Probably just needs reset.
1. Using the switch put the window fully down and then continue to hold the switch in the down position for 5 secs.
2. Put the window up fully.and continue.to hold in the up position for 5 secs.
One Touch operation should now work

Re: Passenger window - one touch or not?
Thanks.
Just been out to try this but no luck. Tried both with engine running and key in position before engine turnover.
Still the same. Window stops as soon as I stop pressing or lifting the switch.
The switch action is definitely different to drivers side.
Minor thing I know but just wanted to confirm VW haven't pulled a fast one and given me a switch from another car.
Also tried the window down a little, up and hold for 3 secs release then up and hold for another 3 secs reset but no joy.
