Revo intake installation guide?

Recently bought myself a Revo intake for the 2.0TSI but it helpfully comes without any installation guide. Ive been googling around trying to find one but no joy so far.

Dont suppose anyone knows of one or one similar I could follow? Bit hesitant to start ripping stuff out before I know which bits are supposed to come out and in which order.

Cheers.

i recently fitted a VWR kit so I can imagine the process would be identical

here are the fitting instructions i used

What did you think of the VWR intake Dan? That's the one I was looking at getting.

I think it is really good, opens up the airflow, tidies up the engine bay and makes a really nice sound, fitted itnwith the REVO stafe 2 intake pipe to help smooth out the air, i felt quite a big change straight away

The Revo kit is quite different to the VWR one. How did you remove the original intake pipe, as thats the bit I seem to be struggling for info on.

This is the intake in question. http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performan ... si-engines" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you look at the fitting instructions it tells you how to remove most of it! Then the pipe that runs across the back of the engine bay is easy to remove, there is one of those evil clips at the bottom connecting it to a rubber hose

That vwr guide is not helping at all. 1 bolt?

Ive removed that, removed the top shroud from front panel and this airbox is going nowhere. Looks like there is a rad pipe in the way for starters.

Pain in the fucking arse.

i just gave mine a sharp tug after removing that bolt, then had to manoeuvre it around the pipe, didn't have any trouble with it. As long as the MAF housing is diconected and that one bolt in front of the filter is removed then it is just willpower holding it in

if you look at the picture of how mine is now, i've circled in red the only thing that should be holding it on now, can just be abit stubborn

Yep, all out now. Good job Ive been practicing my deadlifts. Fucking thing.

Just one the rear intake pipe now. Am I right in thinking I need to compress the spring clips and pull the whole thing off the turbo?

Any top tips? Ive already dropped a psir of pliers down there and had to jack the car to pull them out from under. The Focus ST I had was much less psinful than this bloody thing.

yeah thats about right, I had a friend hold the pipe while I had one hand one the end of the pliers putting pressure to open the clip, and the other hand on the clip holding the end of the pliers in place on the clip so you have a grip on it with both hands. i dropped the pliers as well but mine landed on my CV joint, took about 20 minutes to wiggle them free, i didnt find an easy way to do it! but having my mate pulling the pipe definitely made it easier!

then theres another spring clip at the bottom of the rubber section that you need to get so you can change it for the REVO one as it allows for the increase in pipe diameter

or looking at the picture of your kit again you wont need to remove the rubber section as your pipe itself is smaller than mine at the end and then opens up partway down, where as my reduction was done in the rubber section

Sound. If I dont need this rubber one anymore Im tempted to just rag it out.

Ive got a silicone redction pipe here, so Im pretty sure the rubber comes off. The only thing I dont appear to have are any clamps apart from those for the maf.

No going back now but its not looking good.

i think the idea is you reuse the spring clips but i aren't a massive fan of those so replaced them with jubilee clips

These spring clips are absolute fuckers.
