Dont get me wrong i love my car . Think it looks fantastic and is hard to beat. Goes really well and will be even better next year when i get it revod..

But i seem to be losing interest in my car and seem to be constantly looking at other cars for sale. Perhaps im just going through a phase. Anyone else feel the same? Probably just me.

I still love my car as well and would have had it 6 years in March. Still drives like new (still only 22K on the clock) so can't justify changing it.

I know what you mean though, new designs/tech get you thinking but I will be holding onto mine for at least another 2 years I reckon.

I kinda know what you mean but i just keep spending money on mine and keep falling in love even more with it.

Like you say, it goes like stink, great on fuel, stunning looking, still looks like spanking new car!!!

Wow - I am only on my 7th car and am well into my 40's now!

I have only had 11 cars in 50 years and never been without one!! Still loving the roc although do keep adding the odd mod from time to time.

Scirocco's are lovely cars and drive supurb, I've just gave mine a bit of hard elbow grease and fallen in love with it more. I washed it, clay bared it, polished it and waxed it and it looks like new for a 09 plate (check out the photo).

Do the same and that Scirocco love will come flooding back!

Spot on about falling in love again once the car has had a bit of love and attention. I usually wash the car every week or two weeks, but hadn't done so for nearly six weeks until yesterday, for family and work reasons; and had found myself a bit nonplussed with the car. However, after a good all round wash of the car yesterday, I couldn't help but just stand there and admire the Roc and feel a little bit pleased.

Had been thinking about an s3, 325i or Golf R. Each have there own attractions over the Scirocco; but to my mind, none have the unique (but non showy) styling of the Roc.

Ive had mine for over 3 and half years and nearly 40 000 miles now, I generally keep cars for around 4 years by that time I fancy driving something else, but Im never bored of this one, the shape is still the best looking on the road in my opinion, I never tire of the way it drives and looks as good as the day I collected it. I would only consider changing it for a new facelift model, finances permitting, nothing else on the market I really like

I also find giving my car a good detail restores my interest. Even if it means freezing my hands off at this time of the year.

It's just as well Sciroccos are good looking cars because the shape has been around for a while now with no significant changes. Maybe a few small mods will help keep yours feeling fresh.

Did you ever add a Sub? I just sold mine for £80, I had to take it out of the custom box and sell it bare. Threw the box away, shame as it was perfect for a Roc boot.

Dont get me wrong i still love my car to bits and would find it really hard to part ways with it. My 1st ever brand new car. I just seem to be constantly looking at other cars for sale on autotrader. Maybe thats what I need to do a good cleanup.

No never installed it as i couldnt be boverd with the hassle of trying to keep it oem by tapping into the rear speakers. Next year i plan on taking it to revo so that should definitely make me fall in love all over again.

Anyone suggesting Devil could possibly fall back in love with the roc if he spent more time cleaning it might need to explain exactly where he might find the extra two hours in a day - by that I mean - his car is only ever dirty if he's out of the country and the car isn't !

Only had Walter since April but love him very much - cleaned him yesterday morning as I'd had to drive him through the Boxing Day gales and he'd got a little grubby and also gave him a squirt of CG new car smell - hmmmmm new !

That said I've also only had 5 cars since 1991 and Elmer my 8v Cupra (last car) I had for 14 years

I still love mine. Every time I overtake something and feel that whoomph and breeze by I realise it's a great car. Yes there are some more modern gizmos like reversing cameras and a colour MFD that I'd like but I can live without them until such times as I replace it. At the moment I'm hanging on to it until either the rocco mk4 comes out or I win the lottery and I can get a Jag F-type R coupe

Having just had a Zafira diesel over Christmas to ferry the folks around in, I can definitely state that I would get bored of owning one of those... in about 2 minutes!

Sell it and buy a new Porsche Cayman S.

My 09 will be 6 on the 5th of march and although i still love the car I confess I am getting a bit bored with it now
Its true to say after a good wash it still looks fantastic and still get people commenting on how nice it looks and still drives superbly.
When I thought about changing to a newer Scirocco model 2 years ago I could not see the point as nothing had really changed. I was hoping for one based on the new platform but this was sadly not to be for the forceable future.
After driving a mk7 golf I can see how far things have moved on and if the 'new' Scirocco was on that platform I would be keen to order one.
So like quite a few previous roc owners I'll be taking delivery of a new Golf R around 1st of March . Really looking forward to it but will be sad to see the old girl go.

A bit of both for me... Running decent power which was the aim for my "project" a bit of bodywork done and still love driving it.....however being tempted by 4Motion and Quattro driven cars for my next project...... in particular RS4, RS5 S5s possibly a golf R but cant really afford any of the above at the moment to be honest!!

Not bored but the hedonist in me is aiming for an m4 coupe in three or four years: D

Love the rocco, as to date, it's a car I've really wanted for a long time AND worked my socks off to get one. It's practical, good on fuel, very safe, good power when needed, and a Beautiful design.

I love the feeling of stepping inside, admiring the curves and lines of the roc, also seeing other people staring at the car is quite fun Before the roc I had an old 1997 VW Polo for 8 years, so finally upgrading to a more modern, safer car was most necessary as well. Also when freshly washed and waxed, I love stepping back for a bit and admiring the view of the roc
