I was just wondering what fuel economy everyone is getting from their R. Mine is 28.4 mpg. Not sure if this is good or bad

I logged mine for a year using a fuel app and it averaged out like this...

This was totally ignoring the on board trip as that usually over reads anyway..

I agree too but it's still interesting to see how each car performs and and it's good for owners to be to see how the r performs in real life.

I am really pleased with how economical the R can be. I get 31 mpg regular on the way to work driving at normal speeds. No coasting. I was only getting 37 mpg out of an a4 2.0 tdi.

My run to work is 90% motorway and I return around 30mpg (working it out from an average of 10.9km/ltr)

My RS5 gets around 25mpg on the same journey.

mine used to be 29mpg calculated by filling the tank etc...

now I do a more town stop/start commute and the MDF says anywhere from 22 to 24mpg.
Not great but wouldn't trade it for alot:)

Just shop at lidl or aldi:D
