hi guys,

I'm wondering if someone could help me with a issue I'm having with my roc, i was driving home from Wembley yesterday after watching the England woman's football team get dismantled by ze germans, when out of nowhere the car started to misfire and become very rough to drive. The engine management light then lit up on the dashboard. I pulled over straight away and called out the RAC suspecting that a faulty coil pack was to blame. Once the mechanic turned up he plugged in his computer to diagnose the problem. He's computer found that cylinder 1 was misfiring, and that a coil pack was to blame. however he didn't have any on the van so i would have to be towed home.
At lunch today, i went to Motex to pick up 2 new coil packs and when i got home i fitted them both, messing around with a load of different combinations to try and find the broken coil pack and fix the problem... but i had no success. It is still misfiring and not only is the engine management light still on but now the EPC light is as well, so now I'm stumped. Does anyone have any ideas as to what else might cause this problem and what my next step might be?

thanks in advance

Sam

Have you checked the plugs? Could also be an injector fault.
