Scirocco Central

Hello all, I just picked up a 2009, 46,000 mile Roc with the 1.4 TSi 160 unit. It has full VW dealer service history and is in fine condition. I was nosing around looking for info on the DAB unit & stumbled across posts relating to the various (expensive) engine issues. Of course you will only read the bad stuff so I'm wondering are there any of you on here with the same engine which has given many trouble free miles?

Be great to hear from you as I'm concerned that this may have been a poor choice...

ive done 13000 on mine now and its perfect, only problem ive had was with the A/C, was in with VW for a day just due to a cracked pipe.

At the end of the day you hear the very small amount of issues with them but never really hear from the majority of owners who havent had problems

Cheers abc, think I'm suffering buyers remorse as I gave up a 100% reliable car on a whim for the Scirocco! Agreed, that you only hear the bad stuff so that was why I'm keen to hear the good stuff too.
