The exhaust tips on my R are quite black from sot and "oil". I run the car on 97 octane as it is that or 93 available here in China.
At the petrol station they try to sell me some additive to put in the petrol to clean it up. IS this any good or is it just bolony?

The only thing that will clean that up now is elbow grease:p

believe me I tried and it's still there...

keeping it on 97 octane won't hurt it the car, as for it burning any 'cleaner' I don't know
