Number plate lights

I noticed tonight that I have a number plate light out, I've checked the bulb and it has blown. My question is: when my dipped beam and sidelight blew I got an error message on the mdf and a warning light on the dash. However no alert for the number plate light, is this correct?

Thanks mate, I'll check that theory tomorrow when I replace it. I owned my last car for over 10 years and had to replace only 3 bulbs in that time. I've had the roc for 8 months and 3 bulbs gone already, probably to do with the drl's being on all the time. Well I suppose that's progress for you!

Right that's weird!! Just responded to a reply from cuprabob and submitted message and now its gone, so I look like I'm talking to myself. What the f***!

Apologies mate, I deleted the thread as I was beginning to.question myself:-)

I'm now thinking the number plate circuit isn't checked but I guess you can confirm when you pull out the other bulb.

Have had both of mine disconnected when I replaced my bumper and had no bulb warning.

Nice one, at least I know now I'm still sane (well sort of!) I did suspect it wouldn't register. Maybe because both bulbs will be on the same circuit and not as important as the rest of the lights.
