Hi folks,
can anyone tell me if Diamond car speakers are any good, thinking of upgrading the front door speakers and was looking inmy local car hifi shop. Used to have Infinity Kappa's in my last but one car and they were superb driven from a high end Alpine head unit. These speakers will be driven by the RNS510, poss through an amp.
Any thoughts guys ?

I dont know quality wise about the brand you spoke about, however I can say that alpine gear is quality if past experience is anything to go by. Hope that helps.

I use to be really into car audio and diamond was very expensive and excellant quality obviously depending on range of Diamond but they blow pants on your everyday speakers Kenwood, pioneer, alpine, sony .
I had a full car rigged with diamond audio including amps and all i can say is my amp running my front component speakers was 50watts and all my mates who thought they knew there gear had like 800watt kenwood amps and pioneer amps and mine just blew theres, sound quality noise level razor sharp, won Hands down in every area . With diamond you get what it says on the tin
Theory Diamond = Top Notch Audio
Just to throw a spanner in the works JL Audio is really good as well

Dave, thanks for that, exactly the reply I was hoping for. My local car audio installers were trying to push me to Diamond speakers, cannot remember the models but there was a 150 quid pair that did not need amping, a 250 quid pair that "may " need amping and a 400 quid pair. I was thinking of the mid priced ones with a 4 channel amp so that if I wanted to, could bridge two of the channels and get a sub if the output was not bassy enough on its own.

No problem pal,,,
just to add if you thought infinty kappas was good realistically Diamond audio is more than twice as good mark my words. there bottom of the range speakers walk all over kappa infinities
,
I must stress as long as its set-up correctly and your not using a shite amp>>>
