Has anyone heard this sound before? or have any idea what this might be?

i had a very similar sound on my old VW Bora once , it was the alternator pulley .
could be worth a look ?

Thanks! Will definetly check that out
A VW mecanic had a look at the car yesterday, and unfortunatly it looks like the turbocharger is dead
