Finally feel ive done enough to the car to show any sort of progress :)

Bought the car back in September last year, and convinced myself to keep it standard, within a week i was sick of seeing other cars looking the same lol

Lasted around 6 monhts before i started getting the urge to modify it

Day i got her.

Private plates went on

First mod was full interior and exterior lights which made a massive difference straight away, looked alot better than the standard bulbs.

Then debadged the rear
Then fitted yeti Chrome tailpipes.
Fitted Metal pedals

The arch gap on the scirocco was killing me, i originally planned on just replacing the springs with some H&R's as i wanted to keep the DCC and couldn't justify spending the cash on KW DCC's, but i knew i wouldnt be happy with them, was searching the internet for pictures to try and figure if it was low enough for me, eventually caved and decided to go straight to coilovers

Plans to come are:

All plastics painted gloss black with front grill the usual half white
Wrap mirrors gloss black
Startin work on my T5 grill mod next month if anyone's got any tips then let me know reckon im gona make a mess of it then have to admit defeat and find a body shop to finish it
Smoothen front number plate recess
Then new wheels - keep changing my mind on what im wanting, altho think im swaying to something with a different deep dish

Thanks

keal

Hi Keal, where did you source the number plates from? Been looking for a decent pressed plate for a while now! Also have you got a list of the bulbs you used for reference?

Cheers

Nick

Can never make my mind up on what I want to use. But im happy with the result from the diamond white

I'm like that too, so many options with good reviews. In the end I plumped for dodo juice supernatural hybrid [THUMBS UP SIGN]

Car look a beauty mate.

I am considering going lower too as I have the same thing of every time I look at the car the arch gap has increased ha ha
Can I ask what difference the lowering has made to the comfort/ride

harsh/very harsh/no problem??

Thanks

I think it all depends on what set up you go for to be honest, weather it be springs or coilovers or even air, how much you spend and also how low your wanting to go.

i went down the coilover route with a set from KW who seemed pretty well recommended, id say on normal roads you can barley tell, probably slightly more bumpy but nothing would make a concern, the rides rougher on crappier roads but then you'd expect it, overall im happy with the ride quality
